Applications of DO Measurement: (a)Wastewater & Sewage Treatment: Aerobic bacteria rely on steady DO levels to break down organic waste in aeration tanks. Monitoring prevents biological system failure while cutting electricity costs by turning off heavy air blowers once target levels are reached, (b)Aquaculture & Fish Breeding: Fish, shrimp, and other aquatic livestock need adequate DO to breathe and grow. Controllers prevent mass suffocation by automatically triggering oxygenators the moment levels fall into critical zones, (c)Environmental & River Monitoring: Rapidly dropping oxygen levels serve as an early warning for pollution, algae blooms, or ecological stress in natural waterways and (d)Industrial & Boiler Systems: High oxygen concentrations accelerate pipe rust and boiler corrosion. Industrial plants measure DO to ensure oxygen is stripped down to negligible levels, protecting infrastructure.
